State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr., a lifelong Ozone Park, Queens resident, represents the 15th Senatorial District which encompasses – in whole or part – Kew Gardens, Kew Gardens Hills, Forest Hills, Rego Park, Elmhurst, Woodside, Middle Village, Maspeth, Glendale, Ridgewood, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, Howard Beach, Hamilton Beach, Broad Channel and the Rockaways. Elected to the State Senate in 2008, after serving seven years in the New York City Council, Joe has always made constituent services a top priority. Being the only State Senator with three local offices due to his sprawling district, Joe and his staff have assisted constituents with problems involving housing, health, transportation, taxes, education, military, public safety and more, including efforts, as a member of the Senate Bipartisan Task Force on Hurricane Sandy, to aid those affected by the superstorm. In the State Senate, Joe additionally serves as the leading Democratic member of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs and the ranking Democratic member of the Senate Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering. He additionally serves as a member of the Senate Select Committee on Libraries and the Senate Committees on Education, Aging, Civil Service and Pensions, Labor and Environmental Conservation.
