Pushing for Accountability. Ung shows strong leadership by demanding city agencies follow through on legally mandated transportation studies that could benefit thousands of daily commuters.

NYC Council Deputy Leader Sandra Ung demands the Department of Transportation comply with a 2023 law requiring a feasibility study for a Flushing bus transit center, now more than six months overdue.
Local Law 157, co-sponsored by Ung and passed in 2023, mandated DOT study potential bus center locations in Flushing by November 2024. The area hasn't had a bus terminal since the 1940s despite being a major transit hub. Flushing is also growing and will soon be the site for a new casino and other associated construction, in addition to the baseball studium.
